Clocked in 16KM today @ the vancouver sea wall.

Awesome day, awesome run, not as busy as I would have loved. But overall it was great, even with the outer knee pains I got @12km. First long distance run in my Nike Free 3.0 v3. What did you do today?

SURREY INTERNATIONAL WORLD MUSIC MARATHON

So, this is going to be the first time I am registering for a Half-Marathon, Maybe in a year or two I will register for a marathon. The longest I have ran on my own is 16.8km which is 10.43 miles. The reason I am not registering for a marathon is not the question of ’ will I finish ’ because I know I can finish a marathon, but the time I will finish it on will not be good enough for me. Because I know I can do so much better doing a half marathon because I am more prepared for it mentally and physically. What I have to start doing now is to start eating healthier than I am now. That is my main struggle right now. Training for this is going to be fine. Doing Crossfit has helped me tremendously on my conditioning. + Running 20-40km a week is going to be a must for this summer. Especially now that the weather has started to get better. Hopefully I won’t do so bad on this Half-Marathon on September 30,2012.

120512 Another beautiful day in Vancouver BC

So the past weeks still have been ugly, wet and cloudy, with this week being absolutely brilliant. Sunny and hot. & Today was no exception. Went out to run on what we call here in Vancouver, The SeaWall, a 22km (13.7m) walking, jogging, cycling and inline skating path. So clocked in another 10.6km(6.58m) on my VibramFivefingers. I and my brother were all taped up, (KT TAPE) & had a lot of people staring and wondering what the heck were we covered in, with our legs taped up, and my shoulders being taped up from last week. It was weird because we just had a BMO Marathon that happened last week, and I thought atleast one person from the event would have been running @ the seawall. & I guess people don’t really pay attention to these kind of things, I would have thought atleast one person who runs, plays volleyball, cyclists, gymnists would have an idea of what KINESIOLOGY TAPE is. AHA I guess because it’s still pretty new here in Canada, We ended at EnglishBay watching people playing volleyball and people sunbathing. We ended soaking up the sun ourselves, then we went to eat SUSHI! HOUSE ROLLS! & CALIFORNIA ROLLS!. Overall it was an awesome day despite the awkward stares and giggles behind our backs. Not like I cared. & a lot of people still don’t know anything about VibramFiveFingers despite the attemp on making BAREFOOT RUNNING a REVOLUTION with Nike and their FREERUNS, Reebok and their REALFLEX, NewBalance and theirs, VIVO and many others. Anyways How was your day?
